Several members of our team combine legal qualifications with a technical or scientific background in electrical engineering, physics or chemistry. This helps where projects depend on technical facts, for example in permitting, grid connection or emissions questions. Environmental law
Permits for installations under the Federal Immission Control Act (Bundes-Immissionsschutzgesetz – BImSchG), environmental impact assessments, nature conservation and species protection, water law, waste and soil law, environmental liability and challenges by third parties.
Climate law
German and EU climate targets, emissions trading under the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and the national fuel emissions trading scheme, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), climate-related contract clauses and climate litigation.
Energy law
